In the immediate post war era it was thought too dangerous for Germany to maintain a standing army and so the job of realm defence came down to the foreign occupiers. though in 1955 the west Germans would finally be allowed to have their own home grown army. while equipment was initially sourced from the states, it would be in the 1960's that they would begin making their own uniforms. These early Bundeswehr jackets all come from the early to mid 60's and are made from a proper quality wool. with hidden button closure and two large chest pockets these are an ideal autumn and winter jacket,
These jackets are from the 1960s and may show some minor moth marks. The imperfections are small and only noticeable upon close inspection.
